DESCRIPTION:Presented in partnership with The Dixon: Historic Theatre\, this brand-new exhibition invites artists to explore the people\, places\, and experiences that deserve the spotlight in their lives. \nInspired by Shakespeare’s famous phrase\, the exhibition encourages artists to interpret what takes center stage in their world. For some\, that may be a literal stage filled with music\, theater\, dance\, or performance. For others\, it may be a favorite landscape\, a hometown landmark\, a quiet corner of nature\, or a scene that captures the spirit of community. Through original two-dimensional artwork\, artists are invited to share their unique interpretation of the theme. \nShow Sponsor\nThe Dixon Historic Theatre is this show’s partner and sponsor. We are thankful and grateful for this endeavor together. \nNew for 2026: The Dixon Purchase Award\nA special Dixon Purchase Award will debut as part of the 2026 All the World’s a Stage exhibition. Selected by the staff of The Dixon: Historic Theatre\, the award-winning artwork will be purchased for the theatre’s collection. To be eligible\, artwork must be offered for sale; entries designated NFS (Not For Sale) will not be considered. \nWhile any eligible work may be selected\, artists are encouraged to explore the performing arts and the historic theatre itself as sources of inspiration. The Dixon welcomes artists who wish to create work based on details\, architecture\, or views found within the building and invites them to visit during regular business hours. Artists needing access outside of normal hours may contact the theatre to arrange a visit.

DESCRIPTION:The OSF HealthCare Foundation invites community members to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at An Evening on the Farm\, an adults-only fundraising event taking place on Thursday\, September 17\, at Grand Prairie Farms in Dixon. \nDesigned to celebrate the Sauk Valley’s rich agricultural heritage while supporting local health care initiatives\, this unique event will give guests an opportunity to step into life on the farm for an evening filled with food\, fellowship and hands-on experiences. \nDuring this casual evening\, attendees will enjoy tractor and combine rides\, guided tours of the farm\, an “explore the farm challenge”\, a silent auction\, drinks\, dinner by Ralfie’s BBQ and dessert \nProceeds from An Evening on the Farm will benefit the OSF Saint Katharine Rural Access Fund\, a newly established initiative dedicated to improving access to behavioral health care across rural and agricultural communities. Funding will help expand behavioral health services\, reduce barriers to treatment\, increase awareness of available resources and strengthen the overall well-being of residents throughout the Sauk Valley.
