**PLEASE NOTE: After completing the form below, a representative will review your submission and be in touch to finalize payment, if you are deemed a good fit for Scarecrow Festival. You are not officially registered as a vendor until staff confirms and payment is received. Thank you!**
Vendors participating in the Scarecrow Festival agree to the following:
- The vendor fee is $25 per 10′ x 10′ space for non-food vendors. Food vendors are $50. Price may vary depending on space required by your business. Not-for-profit organizations can reserve a 10′ x 10′ space free of charge, but are expected to provide a kids game or activity at their booth.
- You will be notified of your location the Tuesday before the event.
- The vendor must bring their own tent, tent weights, tables, chairs, or any other setup materials.
- Vendor setup starts at 8 a.m. The vendor must be set up by 9:30 a.m. with all vehicles removed from the road. Vendors who are late forfeit their spot.
- Food vendors must have the approval of the Lee County Health Department and are independently responsible for obtaining the necessary permits and hand washing stations.
- Vendors will only sell items approved by Discover Dixon.
- The vendor is responsible for cleaning up all equipment and trash following the event. Cooking oil must be disposed of and NOT dumped onto the sidewalk, road, or flowerbeds. We advise you to put a tarp down under the cooking area; damages may be billed to the vendor.
- Discover Dixon reserves the right to terminate the contract with no refund if the vendor does not comply with the above terms or does not adhere to the positive spirit of the Scarecrow Festival.
- The fee is non-refundable. The event will be held rain or shine.
- Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech and Behavior: The event has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of hate speech, behavior, or symbols. This includes, but is not limited to, derogatory language, intimidation, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Political Parties and Organizations involved in Political Activity: These policies are in place to ensure that political campaigning does not overshadow the primary purposes of Scarecrow Festival, which include promoting local businesses, fostering community spirit, and providing entertainment in a non-partisan, welcoming environment for all attendees. Political Parties and organizations involved in political activity are able to participate in Scarecrow Festival and provide free, fun, and kid friendly activities within the following guidelines:
- a. No Solicitation allowed: This includes petitioning, collecting donations for political campaigns or engagement, or gathering signatures for political initiatives within the event premises.
- b. Active campaigning, rallying, speech-making, or any other activity that could disrupt the market environment is prohibited.
- c. All signs, literature, etc. must remain within your tent footprint.
- After completion of this form, a Discover Dixon representative will be in touch and an electronic invoice will be sent.
