At the Illinois Department of Transportation we design, build and maintain the state funded transportation system throughout the State of Illinois. That includes, roadways, bridges, interchanges, rail, etc. As such, we have a variety of technical positions with a focus on civil engineering. Some positions require a Professional Engineering License, others do not, so there are a lot of opportunities for potential growth and advancement. We provide a laddered approach to our positions within each section that afford for any upward mobility an employee may strive for.
