Celebrate America 250. We are lucky to have here in Dixon, William J Federer to help us honor our origins as a nation. The event will be emceed by Tom Wadsworth and it is being sponsored by Rock River United. The cost is free and it will be open to the public, so feel free to share!

Be sure to come early to reserve a seat and have time to examine the displays at the the Northwest Territory Historic Center. The time between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M. will be a great chance to experience some.of our area’s own history prior to Federer’s presentation.

Bio: William J. Federer is an American historian, best-selling author, speaker, and broadcaster known for his work exploring the influence of faith, religion, and historical events on the development of the United States. Federer has authored more than twenty books, including the best-selling America’s God and Country: Encyclopedia of Quotations, and is widely recognized for his daily radio feature The American Minute and television program Faith in History. Through his books, broadcasts, and presentations, he seeks to educate audiences about American history, civic principles, and the nation’s Christian heritage.
