You can stop by to do crafts each Wednesday during the summer reading program in the library youth department. Crafts are offered while supplies last and no prior sign up is required. Watch for more information in our weekly brochure. All ages are welcome.
This summer, story times for our youngest patrons (ages 18 months to young 3 year old) will be offered at 9:30 am at the Dixon Public Library. No prior registration is required for the program but supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Contact the youth department for more information!
The "Not Just A Book Club" group is for youth ages 11 to 14. We will meet in the youth department throughout the summer. Youth must sign up for the individual weeks in which they wish to participate. Pegasus Special Riders is gearing up for its annual golf outing. We are returning to the beautiful Lost Nation Golf course—providing teams an opportunity to best their scores from last year. This event is open to adults and teens! Unleash your creativity as you design your own sparkling literary “masterpiece.” Participants will be provided with all supplies needed to bedazzle their favorite books with rhinestones and add a touch of shimmer to their shelves. Please bring your own paperback book to decorate.
The OSF Saint Katharine Moms on the Move group gives mothers the opportunity to enjoy low-impact physical activity while connecting with others and learning about various topics in motherhood. This group meets at the Dixon walking path, located near Peoria Avenue and River Street. Open to anyone with children. Stroller friendly!
These programs are designed for the whole family to enjoy! This years plans include an animal program, a book tasting, a return visit from comedian/magician Dan Gogh, and much more! Most of these programs take place in the evening but there are exceptions so make sure to check out our weekly brochure for more details!
Each Tuesday at 10:00 am we will be offering a workshop geared towards kids between the ages of 9 years old and 14 years of age. Plans include a trivia showdown, unique crafts, mini golf, and more. Space and supplies are limited so registration is required for each week. Ask at the circulation desk for more information.
