This fun and free family event kicks off the summer events for Discover Dixon! Local organizations and businesses provide games and activities for the community. The event is held in front of My Play Village and Pam’s Hallmark, and features costume characters and more!
This annual family favorite is held annually during the Petunia Festival. Local artists of all ages show off their skills on the sidewalks of the Lee County Courthouse! Discover Dixon provides the paint and supplies for all to enjoy. Check back closer to the event for more details!
It’s always a beautiful, European-themed night along the Riverfront for Venetian Night! Magicians, street performers, face painting, spaghetti eating contest, mini boat races, a glow stick party, mystery rock hunt, fireworks and more. The 2023 event featured local restaurants Mama Cimino’s, B.B.Y. Chicken and Carry Out, and Kona Ice. It’s a family favorite every year!

The annual Christmas Walk is one of the premier Discover Dixon events, with a 35-year history of bringing holiday cheer to the community! The event begins each year with the KSB Hospital tree lighting, and features free photos with Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers, the Dixon Municipal Band, and more!
